MINERAL POINT, WI – Cummins Emission Solutions, a subsidiary of Cummins Inc. (CMI:NYSE), today announced the new Cummins Mineral Point East (CMPE) plant, dedicated to all high-horsepower aftertreatment production.
The new plant, located on the company’s current manufacturing campus in Mineral Point, Wisc., will produce a full line of high-horsepower products for Cummins Emission Solutions. Those products include a range of EcoFit™ Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Final and European Union (EU) Stage IV regulations, and the EcoFit Dual Fuel Diesel Oxidation Catalyst supporting Tier 2 compliance. Capabilities at the advanced facility include large-scale manufacturing and prototype areas to support increased production volume and demand, as well as a state-of-the art technical collaboration space featuring interactive SMARTBoard™ technology for connecting engineering teams throughout the many Cummins locations.
“Our new CMPE plant is a direct reflection of our innovative mindset and ongoing commitment to meeting customer needs,” said Srikanth Padmanabhan, Vice President and General Manager of Cummins Emission Solutions. “While the plant is equipped for large-size aftertreatment solutions and quality production, our business has also placed an equally strong focus on employee and building safety.”
“Southern Wisconsin and the Mineral Point community continue to be a strong climate for our company’s sustained growth and expansion into more global markets. As a result, we remain committed to our existing high-caliber workforce and resources in the launch of this new facility,” Padmanabhan added.
